Detroit Summer Event Series

The Detroit Summer Event Series brings the community together all season long with a lineup of events designed for locals, visitors, families, and friends. From live music and markets to parades and lakefront celebrations, something is happening nearly every weekend in the heart of Detroit.

This is where memories are made - on the water, in the park, and under the summer sky.

What to Expect:

Live Music in the Park
Enjoy evenings filled with live bands, dancing, and a laid-back atmosphere. Bring your chairs, grab a drink, and settle in for some of the best nights of the summer.

Detroit Saturday Market
Hosted by the City of Detroit, this weekly market features local makers, bakers, growers, and creators. A perfect way to spend a summer morning supporting small businesses and finding something unique. (Event by City of Detroit)

Golf Cart Parade
Deck out your cart in red, white, and blue and join one of Detroit’s most loved traditions. Fun, festive, and full of personality - this parade is a crowd favorite.

Fireworks Over the Lake
The highlight of the summer. A full evening of music, food vendors, and celebration, ending with a spectacular fireworks display over Detroit Lake.
