Before The Fire

You could find yourself among the towering firs, sparkling waters and friends – new and old. Winter, spring, summer and fall…at Detroit Lake there was fun to be had in in all seasons. The small, warm community welcomed guests to enjoy their little piece of heaven. Be it family vacations, corporate retreats or weekend escapes, Detroit Lake was a destination for making memories.

After The Fire

The Beachie Creek and Lion’s Head wildfires merged in the center of Detroit and decimated much of the landscape, homes and businesses that were long-standing staples to the people who love it there. Serenity was lost, but hope was born and a vision of a bright future is at the forefront of the minds of movers and shakers who are committed to building a stronger Detroit for future generations to enjoy.
